Give credit where credit is due: Marsmobil is nominated for Best Album 2006 by the German Record Critics Award and gets mad love from press and radio all around the world. But „Minx“ is all that and then some: a retro pop extravaganza by multi-instrumentalist Roberto Di Gioia combining the lascivious power of Air, the family feeling of 70s Band America and some of Talk Talk's fragility. The whole thing was produced by Peter Kruder (Kruder & Dorfmeister / Peace Orchestra) & Christian Prommer (Fauna Flash / Trüby Trio).
But now it’s time to take Marsmobil to the clubs with this fine remix package! On the A side we get two completely different versions of „Mangia Amore“ straight outta Vienna’s G-Stone camp. The godfather of Viennese DJ culture and FM4 head of music Makossa and his long time partner Megablast deliver a wicked piece of electro funk that will tie up to their previous dancefloor fillers like „Kunuaka“. Like we use to say in Germany: Ein richtiges Brett! Mr. Urbs strips down the tempo conjures up a psychedelic love experience backing Martine Rojinas sensuous vocals with funky flutes. On the flip we get a surprisingly technoid rework by french jazz connaisseur Alif Tree who transforms „Supersonic Mind“ into an uptempo shuffle beat.
